aaaaaand, from what my ears tell me, the seeds for Simple were actually clearly audible out of the Mike's jam from the 3-27-93 Warfield show.....and i've said it before and i'll say it again, i don't think it's a coincidence that the song "proper" (for lack of a better word) debuted in that same venue EXACTLY 14 months later
